My Philosophy
My passion as a Physical Therapist lies in diagnostics. Pain is real and can be debilitating both physically and emotionally. Pain in your body is an alarm system alerting you to a dysfunction, but finding its origin is the true skill of proper diagnostics. Current medicine tends to focus on symptom management and treatment of pain without ever getting to the root of your issue. Even MRI’s just tell you what is going on, but they do not always tell you why it happened or why you’re still in pain!
My goal is to always get to the source of your issues, the WHY behind the what. Understanding why and from where your body is sending you the pain signals is crucial for understanding how we can fix your problems. My skill sets apply to the worlds of sports performance, youth athletes, weekend warriors and parents who not only can’t keep up with their kids but can’t keep up with themselves.
When I am not working, teaching, or playing volleyball I can be found on the water, fishing and communing with nature, cooking or talking whisky with friends through my educational club The Whisky Gig.
“Working with my clients to harness the power of the mind and body fuels my passion for Physical Therapy and my on-going education. Pain limits life, and my goal is always to get to the source - the WHY of the issue - to allow every client of mine to live the quality of life that they desire and deserve.” Dr. Tyler Niemack
What Motivates Me
My athletic journey started as soon as I could walk. I turned into a full-time competitive soccer player at the age of 10 and was awarded a First-Team All-American honor in 2003 at the University of Puget Sound. My love of sports continues, and I now compete competitively as a sand volleyball player in Denver, CO. My history has been filled with injuries from the small sprains and strains that heal in days, to multiple knee surgeries and a muscle tear in my neck that I suffered at the age of 10 that wasn’t properly diagnosed until I was 39!! Through it all, my love for sports and fascination with the human body has continued to grow. Getting to the root of the issue is my goal with every client that I work with.
